We always want to be kept up with the latest styles and feel like what we are wearing is trendy and worthy of walking the city streets in our everyday outfits.
Well as a college student myself I know how sometimes you don’t want to spend a lot of money on an outfit or a new pair of jeans that you might not wear everyday, so here are my tips to looking stylish on a budget.
- Buy tank tops and simple plain things, this is a great way to have more ways to wear things. For example a $2 tank top at Forever 21 can be worn under an open cardigan, a jean top, with a blazer, or just as a summer tank top, the possibilities are endless. Same goes for t-shirts and things of neutral colors.
- Always peek at the clearance rack, I have found some of my most important pieces of clothing in my wardrobe from the sale/clearance rack at stores. Although they may not have your size so that is always a hit or miss with this sort of thing but usually when I find something it’s a great score!
- 2nd hand stores. Don’t be afraid to shop at your local second hand store. I have gotten some of the most amazing ( and brand name ) clothing at stores like Out of the Closet and Crossroads.
The whole outfit pictured above only cost about $35
